The social media space has been flooded with contents on whether or not Nigerian convicted internet fraudster Hushpuppi has kicked the bucket.
There are all rumours without strong origin or source.
But could Hushpuppi whose real name is Ramon Abass have possibly died as being rumoured?
Opinions are that, with the suspended DCP, Abba Kyari now in the center of the storm , anything is possible and that includes death of Hushpuppi who is believed to be one of his closest allies.
However, there are no strong or verifiable evidence at the moment supporting his death.
Besides,the person that first posted article on the issue has come out to say that she was quoted out of context.
Hushpuppi is being held in the United States (US) for his involvement in internet fraud.
Popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi, he was charged and indicted in a $1.1 million fraud by the US Justice Department after he pleaded guilty.
During interrogation, he mentioned Nigeria’s acclaimed Supercop, Abba Kyari as having a share of the stolen funds.
Hushpuppy had alleged that he paid bribes to Mr Kyari, to have a fellow fraudster, one Kelly Chibuzor, arrested and jailed in Nigeria following a dispute over the $1.1 million fraud against a Qatari businessperson.
Chibuzor was said to had felt shortchanged and threatened to expose the transaction.
That led to the suspension of Abba Kyari to enable the police properly investigate the weighty allegation.
However, while still under suspension, he was taken by NDLEA for allegedly being a member of a deadly and coordinated drug cartel.
