“The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship” Romans 8:15.
When we become God’s children in Christ, we are no longer held down by our birthright of sin and brokenness, rather, we enter into the fullness of God’s kingdom legally upon adoption as His children. As in the old Roman families, if anyone is adopted, his status changes. His debts are transferred to the one who adopted him. Paul wanted the believers to understand that this is also related to them.
Beloved of God, all who have received Him are no longer bound to sin and our legal status has changed.
May this be our potion all through.
Our debts of sin is cancelled as we have received Him who died for us on the Cross.
May we never live our lives in fear and condemnation.
May we not be bound by sin and condemnation in Jesus mighty name. Amen
