The leadership of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, known as Olumba, on Sunday said that, there is no crisis in its fold against public believe.
Spokesman of the BCS, Dr Amah Williams, gave the clarification in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, called on the general public to discard the misleading videos that have gone viral on social media that indicating there was a crisis in the fold.
He said that, the alleged videos were unreal and did not emanate from its headquarters situated in calabar as shown in the video.
Williams described the information and video as make believe to disparage the organisation by some mischief makers seeking relevance.
According to him the New Kingdom Ministry in 2001 disagreed with the leadership of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu as the king of kings and decided to break away and form theirs.
“They are ones trying to disrupt the body with their antics that didn’t materialised.
“Our headquarters in Calabar, is getting ready to host the annual divine manifestation event of Olumba.
“The spurious video speculating and trending in media space especially on Facebook did not take place at the world headquarters of the organisation.
“The world headquarters of BCS is safe, calm and peaceful.
“Members of BCS shall be hosting thier 2024 Universal celebration of the Divine Manifestation of Olumba with the theme; “The Unshakable King” to hold from Nov. 18 to Nov. 24 in Calabar,” he said.
Williams noted that BCS and her leadership were charged to court by some members of the New Kingdom Ministry, over a property owned by Brotherhood of the Cross and Star at Nsikak Eduok Avenue.
He said that, Hon. Justice Joy Unwana of the Akwa Ibom State High Court had on Oct. 17, 2024 ruled that, the New Kingdom Ministry’sapplication lacks merit and was dismissed with the sum of N100,000.00 against the applicant in favour of each respondent.
“Rather than seek good legal advice,
the members of the New Kingdom Ministry same people that rebelled against
the leadership of BCS long time ago decided to take laws into their hands by
organising hoodlums to invade the BCS Worship Centre at Nsikak Eduok in clear
contempt of the court’s ruling.”
“Their action as seen in the video that has already gone viral speaks more of
their ignorance of the scriptures and confirms the fact that they are not led b the Holy Spirit.
“I urge the general public to discountenance the rantings of the rebels and focus on the truth that seek to project the Kingdom of God on earth, promote the Fatherhood of all creations and the Brotherhood of mankind,” he added.
