Friends and family members of Hon. Adesola Samuel Adedayo, known as JIMSAM and Mr Project, on Sunday thronged the Redeemed Church headquarters, Ebute Meta, to celebrate the man they described as a builder.
The celebration that turned a reunion of sort with his Church members, political associates and family members, was to honour and thank God for the life of Adedayo who clocked 70 on Nov. 11.
The celebrator, a medical doctor, a Zonal pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and a politician, is respected by his constituents for the numerous pro-life projects he has attracted in the area which gave him the name Mr Project.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adedayo, a member of the Federal House of Representatives of the ninth assembly, represents the Apapa, Lagos State Constituency.
In his sermon at the event, Pastor in charge of RCCG Continent 3, Pastor Johnson Funsho-Odesola, said that, the celebrator through discipline and hardwork, has achieved stardom in all his three careers that he ventured into.
“As a builder he has impacted lives as a medical practitioner, as a pastor he has been dedicated to God’s work with many people adopting him as their spiritual father and confidant, influencing homes with his wise counsels.
“As a politician his Impact in good governance is daily being felt and resonates in the minds of his constituents and many outside of his domain.
“We have gathered here to celebrate one of God’s servant that pirotises the well-being of the people above every other thing most times sarcrifing his comfort to put simles on the face of others,” he said.
The pastor, prayed for more years of fruitfulness for the celebrator and urged faithful to emulate the legacy of JIMSAM that has not failed in using his divine endeavourment for service to humanity.
Hon. Idowu obasa, a close political associate of Mr Project, said that, Adedayo has been a good politician, who plays politics without bitterness still scales through in his political pursuit.
Obasa, said that, within their political circle, Adedayo, was being looked up to by others as one to be emulated due to his impressive deposition to issues.
Hon. Tunde Balogun, member Governance Advisory Committee (G.A.C) Lagos State, and former APC Chairman Lagos State, said that the celebrator remains a personality sellable at all times.
“Adedayo is among the finest leaders the party has produced over the years with resounding track records of projects to his constituency,” he said.
According to him the name Adedayo opens doors to job seekers, contractors and others seeking one public favour or the other from Lagos to Abuja.
Prof. Olukayode Oyesiku, that administered the cutting of the birthday cake, teased the celebrator with jokes that they share together as boys, said that, it was an honour to anchor the cake cutting of a long standing childhood friend.
Oyesiku, rendered songs of praise and worship to God for the life and achievements of his friend, instructed the celebrator and his wife Mr Adeola Adedayo to wear broader smiles as they cut the cake after the spelling of Jesus.
He is remark at the event, the celebrator, said that, serving God was the best anyone could wish to indulge in.
He said that his life has been anchored on faith in God, that with God in ones side there is no impossiblity.
He thanked God for the grace to reach 70 and in good health too. He encouraged elderly people to live healthly and exercise to remain healthy.
“Do away with worries and do your part, trust in God to see you and pray for your children for them to be good persons so that their unbecoming attitudes do not bring trouble to you at old age.
