Over three hundred and fifty groups have come together to work towards the emergency of Nigeria’s former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim as the country’s next president come 2023.
They have already polled resources together to purchase the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, nomination form for Anyim. PDP is the country’s major opposition party which was in power for 16 years before being defeated by the ruling party in 2015.
According to the groups, they have endorsed the former Senate President from Ebonyi State to clinch the PDP Presidential ticket for the 2023 general election and call on Nigerians to vote massively for him.
While picking the presidential nomination form for senator Anyim in Abuja, leader of the groups, Comrade Mayor Samuel pointed out that the formal leader of the senate has demonstrated competence and proved his suitability to lead Nigerians.
Similar groups had picked nomination forms for former vice President, Atiku Abubakar; Senator Bukola Saraki and Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
