“He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea ‘peace be still’ and the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39
For the disciples, trusting Jesus was a major curriculum for the day. In the dramatic narrative of Mark 4:35-43, Jesus had instructed His disciples to cross to the other side of the sea of Galilee and then He went to sleep in the boat. When a quick and violent storm blew in, the disciples were gripped as much with fear and anxiety as water from the waves threatened them. They woke Jesus saying “teacher, don’t you care that we perish?” Jesus stood up and with those three words “peace be still” He rebuked the raging storm.
Beloved of God, all of us at one point or another will, and do experience storms.
It could be persecutions, loss of income, illnesses, a difficult husband/wife/child, disappointments, loneliness etc.
God does not always take these things (challenges/issues) away from us but He has promised never to leave or forsake us.
God will see you through that problem.
You will not be consumed by the storm you are passing through.
The presence of the Almighty will go with you and as Jesus pronounced peace so shall it be.
Peace be still in Jesus name. Amen
Good morning
Have a wonderful weekend
