An elaborate evangelical outreach involving song ministrations, dance dramas, spreading of the gospel and delivery of free medical services as well as food items to the poor is underway at Mushin, Lagos.
The exercise which also is featuring the distribution of medicated glasses to those with eye defects is tagged, ” Shinning the light” and put together by the youth wing of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to celebrate the 40th birthday of Pastor Leke Adeboye, last son of the RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
In a remark, a youth Minister of the church, Pastor Femi Oyewumi said the event was organised to fulfil the heart desire of Pastor Leke to affect the lives of people in Mushin where he was born, forty years ago
He stated that, “We have come to impact life,Shine the light. I am trusting God that at the end of the day, people here will be blessed in all ramification.
“Just as you don’t know, Pastor Leke was born here in Mushin. According to him, he would have ended up in the street, but God saved him. So we have come to celebrate Jesus in this place.
“Here today, those who do not know Jesus, will be spiritually touched and they will meet Jesus. Pastor Leke is also trying to touch lives.
“He is donating uniforms to,school children . God will also help us to give free glasses to those with eye problems. There will be free medical services on a wide range of illnesses”, Pastor Oyewumi added.
In the course of the event, Pastor Leke will inaugurate a borehole which he donated to enable the people have access to portable water.
The event is laced with lots of attractions as people including RCCG youths and some Mushin residents showcased their dancing skills.
