“Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15.
In our text today the people of Judah were in trouble and admitted their lack of power to conquer their foes. All they had left was their confidence in God! But King Jehoshaphat saw this as reason for hope and not despair.
“Our eyes are upon you” they declared to God( 2 Chronicles 20:12), and their hope was not disappointed as God fulfilled His promise.
Beloved of God, I pray and declare unto you, no matter what you are going through according to God’s word, “The battle is not yours” but His.
Are you in a position where all self sufficiency is gone? Do not bother for God will surely fight the battle for you.
As you turn and put your confidence in God, He will give you reassuring promise that you need nothing more.
When all you have is God, you have all you need. Amen
